The 2024 round of Everywoman operates under the same rules as the 2023 round, with the exception of a slight increase to the number of nominations allowed.

Works will be revealed in a little under 24 hours, at 11.59pm Pacific time on August 1st. See a countdown here.

These last few hours are a great time to make sure that your work has the title and summary you want, work on any treats you'd like to give, and get excited for reveals! Thank you so much to our pinch hitters, whose hard work is allowing us to reveal the collection on time.

Works are due in a little over 12 hours from the time of this post, at 11.59pm Pacific time July 25th. See a countdown here.

Matching has run and there are no unmatchable participants! Assignments will be sent and initial pinch hits posted early afternoon on Thursday June 22 (approximately 12 hours from now).

Important Reminders:
- Some fandoms may be in the "Uncategorized Fandoms" section of the tagset

- Characters don't always autofill due to an AO3 bug, and if they don't, copy-paste them from the tagset into your signup

- Matching is OR. Your writer/artist will match on at least one character/group tag and one media type (art or fic) tag in the fandom - it's possible they'll match on more, but that's all that's guaranteed.

- For requests, you must have a minimum of 3 unique fandoms, with at least one character tag and one media type tag per request. You may request up to 10 fandoms, with up to 10 characters per fandom and up to 2 media types.

- For offers, you must have a minimum of 4 unique fandoms, with at least one character tag and one media type tag per offer. You may offer up to 10 fandoms, with up to 10 characters per fandom and up to 2 media types.

- DNWs must be included in the request description on AO3 to be enforced. DNWs that attempt to railroad your creator into creating only one specific gift or that are unreasonably vague will not be enforced.

- Letters may be linked, but are not required.

- Signups close Wednesday 21 June at 23:59 Pacific time.

Elephant in the room: Yes, we're both very aware of the recent revelations & ongoing discussion about how OTW has mistreated its volunteers, especially those on the Policy & Abuse Committee (PAC). We did seriously consider whether we wanted to run Everywoman right now, given how reprehensibly a lot of the people involved in the org are behaving (hence, this being posted the day before nominations open). Ultimately, we do feel that the majority of volunteers are wonderful people who deserve much more than they've been given, and that while there's still hope of the org being salvageable, it's worth reminding ourselves why we love AO3 in the first place.

The 2023 round of Everywoman brings one new rule, a total ban on all fic and art created with content-generative artificial 'intelligence' tools. See the Gift Requirements section for additional explanation.
