I've set a deadline of 12:59 AM UTC on June 13th for a response to the above issues. I hope to get assignments out shortly after recieving responses, barring any further issues.

Regarding nominated characters who are present in the tagset not showing up in the dropdown menus for characters in the signup form: this is a known bug. There's not really anything I can do about it other than posting the work around on here.

To get around the bug, you can copy and paste the character name from the tagset (making sure to keep it exactly the form it is there) into the signup form. It will still go through - if it starts giving you an error message about the character not being in the tagset, let me know, but as long as it's the name from the tagset it should work.

So far I know it's affecting characters under:

• Greek & Roman Mythology
• Queen's Thief

Signups are open! You can signup at this link, view existing requests here, or attempt to view the signup summary here. Tagset link is located above. For the curious, we ended up with 2487 characters/groups in 385 fandoms. :D 

Since the signup summary is broke for almost all participants in almost all exchanges at the moment, I will try to keep an updated version on the comm, starting around 4 am UTC today (as long as there's enough signups by then). Expect updates twice a day or so, more when I can. Signup summary on comm is now here.

Important Info:

- Matching is OR. Your writer/artist will match on at least one character/group tag and one freeform (art or fic) tag in the fandom - it's possible they'll match on more, but that's all that's guaranteed.

- For requests, you must have a minimum of 3 distinct fandoms, with at least one character tag and one freeform tag per request. You may request up to 10 fandoms, with up to 20 characters per fandom and up to 2 media type freeforms.

- For offers, you must have a minimum of 4 distinct fandoms, with at least one character tag and one freeform tag per offer. You may offer up to 10 fandoms, with up to 20 characters per fandom and up to 2 media type freeforms.

- As long as you meet the minimum number of fandoms, your additional requests/offers may be different fandoms or the same ones. For example, you want to have 7 request slots of Star Wars: Rebels characters with different DNWs/media type freeforms/characters? That's fine, as long as you have two additional fandoms as well.

- DNWs must be included in the request description on Ao3 to be enforced.

- Letters may be linked, but are not required.

Have fun, everyone! It's been great seeing all the characters nommed, and I'm sure signups are going to be as interesting to see. :D

ETA: Mod signup is not for real, just an experiment to figure out things when they go wrong.

In this case, some characters are not showing up in the menu after a fandom is put in, even though they're in the tagset. It will still work and let you sign up if you copy and paste exactly what is in the tagset into the character field.

I have no idea why some aren't showing up (if anybody does, please let me know, especially if I can fix it).

Under Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika | Puella Magi Madoka Magica, something appears to have gotten mixed up in a nomination - Group: Akemi Homra & Sayaka Kyouko. The second character does not exist, did you mean Sayaka Miki or Sakura Kyouko? Or both, and a three person group nom? Fixed, thanks!

Signups are still on track to open at 11:59 PM UTC on June 4th - so roughly 22 hours from now.

I am finished reviewing all tags that I do not have questions about.

Update about some group noms, specifically The Kindly Ones: On the basis of the presented info in the last post about that nom, I'm allowing it in as is without specific character names. The same also applies to noms for Group: The Three Ladies (Magic Flute), Group: Shieldmaidens of Rohan (LOTR), and Group: Tar-Míriel & Women of the Faithful, either because the characters lack specific names or because of how they function in their canon. Thank you for everyone who answered last post!

This decision may apply to Group: Jasper & Ruby Squad, if the nominator will contact me with their reasoning - I can't find enough info online to understand exactly how that group works.  Accepted

New Questions: 

1. Group: Kara Danvers (Arrowverse) & Jean Grey (X-Men Movies) - I'm assuming Supergirl for Kara Danvers, but is X-Men Movies Alternate Timeline or Original? As far as I can tell, there's differences between the two sets of movies in terms of the character.  Allowed for this year due to mod error.

2. Fandom: October Daye Series; Character Arden Windemere - is there a typo in the character name? I can only find Arden Windermere online.  Fixed, thanks!

3. Barbie - All Media Types - This is too broad. Can it be narrowed down to Video Games, Movies, Books, etc, if not a specific movie? Fixed, thanks!

4. Gone With the Wind - All Media Types - This also needs to be narrowed down to Book or Movie. Fixed, thanks!

5. X-Men (Comicverse) - There appear to be a lot of comics with different plotlines/characterization/etc, can this be narrowed to a specific verse?

Since noms are closed, just let me know below or through PMs what needs to be done on any of these. If you want an all media types split into two (so both "Book" and "Movie" for Barbie, for example), that's fine.

I am working on associating the remaining 19 unassociated characters/groups with fandoms. If you spot anything missing from the tagset that was nommed and is not one of the above questions or there, please let me know - there's been a few lag issues with Ao3 where I've wondered if something disappeared.

As a reminder, noms are set to close tomorrow (June 1st) at 11:59 PM UTC. Here is a countdown clock! They definitely will not close before then, they may close a little late if my schedule doesn't work out right - but that just means you all can sneak in some very last minute noms if that happens.

1. Les Misérables - All Media Types is too broad a category - can the person who nominated this narrow it to movie, musical, or book?

2. Steven Universe: Group: Jasper & Ruby Squad  - Ruby Squad seems to be a group and not a character as far as I can tell - is there a specific Ruby Squad character?

3. Fullmetal Alchemist: Envy - Everything I can find online is describing Envy as either male or genderless. Am I looking at the wrong character or is there a justification for Envy being female?
 

New for this post: 

1. Cosmere - Brandon Sanderson - What I'm reading online about it suggests this is more of a megafandom like Middle-earth (where people often don't read all the books or focus on specific parts within it) than a specific series like ASoIaF. If not given evidence otherwise, I will split this up into the following categories:

• Fandom: Stormlight Archive - Brandon Sanderson; Characters: Jasnah Kholin, Shallan Davar, Navani Kholin; Lift (Stormlight Archive)
• Vin (Mistborn), MeLaan (Mistborn)
• Fandom: The Alloy of Law - Brandon Sanderson; Characters: Marasi Colms, MeLaan (Alloy of Law)
• Fandom: Warbreaker - Brandon Sanderson; Characters: Sisirinah (Warbreaker)

2. Crossover Groups: Group: Diana (DCU) & Sif (MCU) - I need more specific fandoms for them, especially Diana. Fixed, thanks!

3. The Sandman (Comics): Group: The Kindly Ones - The seems to be a general group, not a specific character. Is there a reason that specific characters can't be used in this specific instance? Exception to rule, along with a few other groups. To be clarified in post later tonight.

4. Wiedźmin | The Witcher - All Media Types- All Media Types is too broad, can this be specified to either the video games or the book? If some of the characters are only found in one or the other and you don't have enough spots, nominator, contact me I can split them myself.
