Rambles:
I enjoy the main story and the main pairing, but Jin’s story is the most compelling part of the series to me. The mother/daughter dynamic and Jin’s choices haunt the story, because the structural narrative reinforces how Changge lives in one way and her mother chooses to die in another. Jin is dead for the entirety of the story and yet she’s the entire moving force of events to begin with and then even more events after. Jin’s choices are critical to the story and learning more about her motivations really made me fall in love with her as a character. She’s more a mirage than woman for the main plot, and only she knows herself.

Fandom Specific Likes: I actually prefer the earlier seasons of this show rather than the more recent stuff. I am most familiar with the first 10 seasons of the show and would prefer something set during that period, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. I'd just like to receive anything for Dottie. And while I understand that the movie's ending is a good story and makes narrative sense and is a monumental moment for Kit etc etc etc ... I would still LOVE to see a canon divergence where the Peaches win and Dottie saves the day. I'm a simple girl with simple tastes, okay? Just let me have this.
