Crossovers
- Crossover Fandom can be found under No Media in the tagset.

- Crossovers should be nominated under the fandom Crossover Fandom. Format the group as Group: Character A (Fandom A) and Character B (Fandom B). For example, Group: Aredhel (The Silmarillion) and Susan Pevensie (Narnia). If you hit a character limit, let the mod know. If in doubt, feel free to ask.

- If a character in a crossover group belongs to a fandom with multiple versions (e.g. either Lord of the Rings books or Lord of the Rings movies), either be specific in your nomination or accept that you are leaving choice of version to your creator. Mods will not edit in something specific or get you a replacement gift because your gift is from a different version than you hoped for.

Mass Effect
- Nominate ME1, ME2, and ME3 together under Mass Effect Trilogy

Star Wars KOTOR Nominations

Hello, the post says to separate Star Wars KOTOR 1 & 2, but I'm trying to nominate and K2 won't autopopulate as a fandom on AO3 in the nomination form, it comes under Star Wars Legends: Knights of the Old Republic (video games). Given that, would it be okay for me to just nominate them under the one fandom tag that AO3 suggests?

My instinct is either Star Wars (Dark Horse Comics) or the existing Star Wars New EU - Various Authors - does one of those feel better than the other to you?

Oh, there's new ones? I specifically wanted to nominate characters from the 1994ish ones-given there's new ones my instinct is to go with Star Wars Legends EU (Dark Horse Comics), though folding it under the more general legends eu category with the novels would also be fine if you'd prefer that.

Hah, when I googled 'Star Wars Dark Horse' a 2022 series was the first one to come up! In that case, yes, put it under the general legends EU tag for now - with (Dark Horse 1994) disambigs or something like that if you want. We can talk in the end-of-round review post about how it should be handled next year.

Group: Kallyr and Taralarth Battle-Dancer (KODP)

under King of Dragon Pass (Video Game), and I think I ought to clarify that Taralarth Battle-Dancer does in fact exist in the game—she's only named in one line*, but she's the "famous holy warrior of Vinga" who the player clan can send Kallyr off to train under. (The cult of the goddess Vinga is female-only, so Taralarth is definitely a woman.)

* That line: "She must train under Taralarth Battle-Dancer of clan [name varies]. Taralarth is the greatest Vingan warrior in all of Dragon Pass."

Thank you for letting us know! Given that Shale explicitly rejects being a woman in in-game dialogue, we are going to say it's not a qualifying nom - we haven't rejected it yet, so you're free to edit to whatever you like.

Hi! I nominated Azdaja under Final Fantasy XIV, who is a member of a species that doesn't really do gender the same way humans do. I think she could reasonably be interpreted as female, though - "she" appears to have been her preferred pronoun when speaking languages with gendered pronouns. Also, there's a quote from one of her siblings: "We dragons are not "male" or "female" as men are wont to classify, but "elder sister" is the closest a mortal tongue can come to describing what she meant to me."

I noticed that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV" is in the tagset, which Ao3 appears to be pinging as different than "Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV)" and putting under uncategorized. If someone nominates under the canonical tag "(TV)", it'll end up with duplicates in the tagset. It'll also may be hard to find because it's a TV show that isn't under the TV show header.
