First, a general reminder: Please make sure you're nominating groups in the format Group: Character A and Character B (Fandom). We do not use the & symbol in group noms, and incorrectly formatted nominations slow down the approvals process.

Group: Lena and The Shimmer (Annihilation) - Is the Shimmer a distinct character (edit: that could reasonably be interpreted as female)?

Missy (Doctor Who) - Nominator, we already have several Doctor Who subfandoms (1963, 2005, and Big Finish Audio) in the tagset. Would you be okay with us moving Missy to Doctor Who (2005)?

LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS - Swarm (Cartoon)
Group: Galina Mirny and Swarm (LD+R) - Nominator, the swarm seems to be a system made up of multiple creatures/species, rather than a distinct female character, is that correct? Based on my wiki understanding I'm inclined to reject, but open to being convinced.

Izumi doesn't have an official English translation or Ao3 tag. the fansubs use Gojo, but Ao3 usually canonizes the longer vowels (eg Ichinose Houtarou from Gotchard (another show with no officials) is the canonical despite fansubs and everyone I know referring to him as Hotaro) when uncertain.

Hi nonnie, thanks for the link, but in the future please don't use URL shorteners - it's a lot easier for us if we don't have to confirm links aren't spam. Having looked at the tag, we agree that The Shimmer is arguably a character, but not one that's meaningfully gendered in such a way that it's a good for nominations - Lena Double is in the tagset, and you can absolutely prompt for Lena & or / The Shimmer in a solo request, but it's going to stay out of the tagset for now.

I have a different question, if that's okay! Some of the characters under Original Work are specified as "Republican Era." Republican Era of where? I'm guessing Republican Era China because of the huli jing, but I could be wrong, and Republican Era Vampire Lady isn't clear in isolation. Would it be possible to edit the Republican Era tags to specify Republican Era China (or whatever the nominator wants), to avoid misunderstandings? (They do seem like very cool tags, though!)

As of now those tags are:

Valid question! Yes, nominator meant Republican Era China, we can edit those if they're okay with it.
